Various fundraising activities take place throughout the course of each year.

All monies raised from such activities are used to help ACC achieve it's aims and objectives and supporting children in orphanages by improving medical care, education programs and nutrition.

Visitors to this site are invited to join us in these activities and help support our objectives and provide a glimpse of hope to orphaned, abandoned and destitute children living in our global community.

In addition ACC adminsiter a sponsorship program sponsoring children in a number of orphanages in Colombia, Bolivia, and India. You can assist by becoming a sponsor for only $30 per month.

Cash for Kilos

Lynda has so far lost over $31 kilos - and has raised over $1200

Donations can be made - On the Give Now site - click here

Lynda Miller spent time volunteering in an orphanage in La Paz, Bolivia, in late 1999 / early 2000. Her time at the orphanage had a huge impact on her and really opened her eyes to the realities of children growing up in desperately under-funded orphanages around the world.

The orphanage Lynda volunteered at is one of many that receive much needed support from Australians Caring For Children Inc; and since her return in 2000 Lynda has been involved in fundraising for this group.

Lynda also desperately needs to lose weight.  On Thursday 10th January she will begin a serious lifestyle change, supported by Ray Kelly, a Sports Physiologist, (trainer of "Adro" from the Biggest Loser!), her family, and a fantastic group of friends and workmates.

Thus, she is looking for people to 'sponsor' her weight loss, with all donations going to assist Australians caring For Children Inc to continue their fantastic work. Sponsors may choose to pledge an amount (e.g. $1 or $2 or more....) per kilo lost; or make a 0ne-off donation. Whilst Lynda's weightloss journey is going to take a significant period of time, she has set the sponsorship period to 20 weeks and is determined to see how much damage she can do the extra kilos she's carrying during that time!

Weigh in will be conducted weekly and Ray Kelly (Ray Kelly Fitness, Cardiff) will keep a record of the weigh-in results for the sake of objectivity and accountability.

Adam Brisson is a young man from Sydney Australia who is about to celebrate his 30th birthday.

He is using this opportunity, in which most people indulge and enjoy being spoilt to give something back…to a cause which is very important to him and one that has impacted him personally.

You see Adam was adopted from an orphanage in Bolivia when he was just 6 months of age.

Having visited his country of birth on more than one occasion, he is truly aware of how fortunate he is and how there are those that are still struggling to find families of their own.

Adam has commenced a personal mission to swim 30kms, 1km for each year of his life, on the day of his 30th birthday with the goal of raising $30,000 to aid the orphanage from which Adam came from in La Paz.

Please support Adam in this mammoth task, as he literally swims his heart out!

All donations are welcome and will go a long way in helping orphaned, abandoned and destitute children.
